Please be aware of two important changes affecting the management of ISLA:
Following his departure from UBS Limited, Laurence Marshall has stepped down as ISLA Chairman. According to the Rules of the Association, James Templeman of Barclays Global Investors, previously Vice Chairman, has assumed the role of Chairman with immediate effect. At a Board meeting yesterday, James thanked Laurence for his work as Chairman on behalf of the association over the past two years.
David Rule has resigned as ISLA Chief Executive in order to take up a position as Head of the Financial Stability Division at the Financial Services Authority. David will leave ISLA at the end of July. James thanked David for his work for the Association and wished him luck in his new role. The ISLA Board will be looking to appoint a successor as soon as possible.
